Sanvikaa (born Pooja Singh, 8 January 1990) is an Indian actress known for her role as Rinki in the Amazon Prime Video web series Panchayat. Her performance in the series earned her widespread recognition and the title of "National Crush" among fans. Originally from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, she transitioned from an engineering background to a successful acting career in Mumbai.

Early life

Sanvikaa was born as Pooja Singh on 8 January 1990 in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India. She grew up in a middle-class family as the youngest of five sisters. As a child, she was shy but aspired to become an actress. Her parents initially expected her to pursue a conventional career path but later supported her ambitions. She completed her schooling at Christ Church Girls’ Senior Secondary School in Jabalpur, where she was known for her academic diligence. Her early exposure to theatre in Jabalpur, often accompanied by a friend, sparked her interest in acting.

Education

Sanvikaa pursued a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from a college in Jabalpur. Although some sources suggest she studied at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, this claim remains unverified. During her college years, she actively participated in theatre, which further motivated her to pursue acting professionally.

Career

After completing her engineering degree, Sanvikaa moved to Mumbai to chase her acting dreams. She initially told her family she was moving to Bangalore for work, but instead relocated to Mumbai with the help of a friend in the entertainment industry. She began her career working as a costume assistant director while auditioning for acting roles. Within ten days of arriving in Mumbai, she secured her first commercial advertisement.

Her breakthrough came in the second season of Panchayat (2022), where she portrayed Rinki, the daughter of the village Pradhan. Her performance as the charming and grounded village girl gained critical acclaim and popularity. She reprised her role in Panchayat Season 3 (2024) and is set to appear in the upcoming Season 4.

Sanvikaa has also acted in other projects such as the films Qaidi Band (2017) and Plan A Plan B (2022), and the legal drama web series Lakhan Leela Bhargava (2023).
