Slayy Point (stylised as स्ले Point) is an Indian YouTube channel created by content creators Abhyudaya Mohan and Gautami Kawale. Initially known as Silly Point, the channel gained popularity for its comedic and commentary-style videos on topics including internet trends, Bollywood, and social media culture. The duo is known for their humorous takes and satire aimed at Gen-Z and millennial audiences.[1][2][3]

History

Slayy Point began in 2016 under the name Silly Point as a cricket-centric YouTube channel, eventually transitioning into broader commentary and comedy. The creators, Abhyudaya and Gautami, were college friends who collaborated to produce content for young Indian viewers.[4]

They gained significant recognition after hosting the red carpet at YouTube FanFest 2019 in India.

The duo has collaborated with other Indian creators such as Angry Prash, Saiman Says, Flying Beast, BeerBiceps, and BB Ki Vines.[5]

Slayy Point operates multiple channels:

  • Slayy Point – Main channel for comedy and commentary.
  • SlayyPop – Focused on gaming and skits. Notable videos include gameplay in GTA V and humorous vlogs.

Notable Videos and Memes

Binod Meme

One of Slayy Point’s most viral contributions to Indian internet culture was the creation of the "Binod" meme. In a video titled *Why Indian Comments Section is Garbage (BINOD)*, they highlighted a random YouTube comment simply stating "Binod" by user Binod Tharu. The meme exploded across platforms, with even brands like Paytm briefly changing their Twitter name to "Binod". It was referenced by creators such as CarryMinati, Technical Guruji, and PewDiePie.[6][7][8]

Abhishek/Gaaliya Meme

In a parody video titled *YouTuber's rich lifestyle EXPOSED*, a person misnamed Abhyudaya as "Abhishek" and Gautami as "Gaaliya", sparking widespread meme references in the comment sections.

Controversy

In December 2024, Slayy Point uploaded a video titled Internet Celebrities EXPOSED which briefly mentioned YouTuber Elvish Yadav. Elvish responded with a video accusing Slayy Point of harassment towards him and his mother, a claim many criticized as baseless. The situation escalated on social media, with Gautami becoming the target of online abuse and fake morphed images.[9][10]
