Ahaan Panday (born 23 December 1997) is an Indian actor, model, and social media personality, best known for his upcoming Bollywood debut in the romantic drama Saiyaara (2025), directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Yash Raj Films. He is the nephew of Bollywood actor Chunky Panday and cousin of actress Ananya Panday.

Early Life and Education

Ahaan Panday was born on 23 December 1997 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, to businessman Aloke Sharad Panday (known as Chikki Panday) and fitness expert and author Deanne Panday. He has an elder sister, Alanna Panday, a social media influencer and YouTuber. His grandfather, Dr. Sharad Panday, was a renowned heart surgeon who contributed to India’s first heart transplant. Ahaan grew up in a privileged family with strong ties to the Bollywood industry.

He completed his schooling at Oberoi International School in Mumbai and pursued a degree in Fine Arts, Cinematic Arts, Film, and Television Production at the University of Mumbai. During his college years, Ahaan enrolled in Yash Raj Films’ Talent Grooming Program to hone his acting and filmmaking skills.

Career

Early Work

Ahaan Panday developed an interest in acting and filmmaking from a young age, creating Dubsmash videos and short films such as Fifty and Jollywood with friends. He gained early popularity on social media platforms like Instagram and YouTube, where he shared creative sketches and reels. Ahaan also worked as an assistant director on films like Freaky Ali (2016), Rock On 2 (2016), Mardaani 2 (2019), and the Netflix series The Railway Men (2023), gaining behind-the-scenes experience in the film industry.

He also ventured into modeling, walking the ramp for designer Nandita Mahtani at the Tech Fashion Tour Season 2.0 and collaborating with the online fashion brand KOOVS.com.

Bollywood Debut

In 2025, Ahaan is set to make his acting debut with Saiyaara, a romantic drama directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Yash Raj Films. He stars opposite debutante Aneet Padda, playing the role of Krish Kapoor, a rockstar in an intense love story. The film’s teaser, released on 30 May 2025, garnered significant attention, and the movie is scheduled for a theatrical release on 18 July 2025. Ahaan underwent extensive training and multiple screen tests under the guidance of YRF and Mohit Suri to prepare for the role.

Personal Life

Ahaan Panday is close to his family, particularly his cousin Ananya Panday and sister Alanna Panday. He is also a close friend of Aryan Khan and Suhana Khan, children of actor Shah Rukh Khan. Ahaan is fluent in Hindi, English, and French and has expressed interests in music, dance, poetry, fashion, and e-sports. He has a tattoo of his sister Alanna’s birth year on his finger and owns two pets, a cat named Cappuccino and a dog named Sukhi.
