PewDiePie
PewDiePie (born Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg; October 24, 1989) is a Swedish YouTuber known for his Let's Play videos and vlogs.[1] He was the most-subscribed channel on YouTube from 2013 to 2019 and was the first individual creator to reach 100 million subscribers.[2]
Early life and education
Kjellberg was born on 24 October 1989 in Gothenburg, Sweden.[3] He attended Göteborgs Högre Samskola and later studied industrial economics and technology management at Chalmers University of Technology, which he left to pursue YouTube.[4] He married Italian former YouTuber Marzia Bisognin in August 2019.[5]
Career
Kjellberg registered the PewDiePie channel in 2010 and became one of the pioneers of the Let's Play format, rising to the most-subscribed channel on YouTube in August 2013.[6] He held the top spot until April 2019 during a widely covered subscriber race with T-Series. He moved to Japan in 2022 with his wife Marzia; their son Björn was born in 2023.[7] In September 2026 he ended his family vlogs to protect his son's privacy while continuing to upload videos.[8]
