He is renowned for his gaming content, primarily in Hindi, which includes gameplay videos, tutorials, and live streams. His main YouTube channel, "Techno Gamerz", focuses on gaming videos, while his secondary channel, "Ujjwal", is dedicated to live streaming. He ranks among the top 50 most-subscribed YouTubers in India, with over 43 million subscribers on his main channel as of 2024.Chaurasia is one of the most-subscribed individual YouTubers in Asia and India, known for his engaging content in games like Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) and Minecraft.[1][2][3]
Early Life
Ujjwal Chaurasia was born on 12 January 2002 in New Delhi, India. He developed an interest in gaming during his childhood, balancing his passion with academics under a strict schedule set by his family. Initially, he used his brother Ankit Chaurasia's phone to create and upload gaming content.[4][5]
Career
Ujjwal Chaurasia launched his YouTube channel, Techno Gamerz, on 13 August 2017, with his first video uploaded on 30 October 2017. His early content focused on mobile gaming tutorials, including a viral tutorial for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, which garnered 250,000 views and significantly boosted his channel's growth.[6]
On 20 January 2018, Chaurasia created his second channel, Ujjwal, initially for PUBG videos and occasional live streams. The channel has since become his primary platform for live streaming various games. He reached 100,000 subscribers on his main channel on 6 January 2019, earning the YouTube Silver Play Button.
Chaurasia gained widespread recognition during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 through his Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) and Minecraft series, which attracted millions of viewers. By early 2021, his main channel surpassed 10 million subscribers, earning him the YouTube Diamond Play Button. To celebrate, he released his debut rap song, Game On, chronicling his journey to 10 million subscribers.
In October 2020, Chaurasia launched TG Network, a public Minecraft server for Java and Bedrock players, which became one of India's most popular Minecraft servers. In April 2021, he started Herobrine SMP, a private Minecraft Survival Multiplayer (SMP) server featuring prominent Indian YouTubers such as YesSmartyPie, Total Gaming, and GamerFleet. Despite initial popularity, the SMP ceased activity due to the creators' conflicting schedules.[7]
Ujjwal Chaurasia reached 20 million subscribers on 30 August 2021. His planned "20 Million Minecraft Surprise" faced delays due to controversies and production challenges, which he addressed in a video titled "THE DARK TRUTH OF 20 MILLION SURPRISE" on 12 January 2023. On 18 June 2023, he unveiled the surprise—an inverted replica of his Minecraft overworld in the Nether dimension.[8]
In 2021, responding to audience demand, Ujjwal launched Ujjwal Shorts, a YouTube Shorts channel featuring short gaming clips. On 14 January 2023, he created Techno, a channel dedicated to tech-related content. As of June 2025, his four channels collectively have over 60 million subscribers and 15 billion views.
In March 2023, Indian video game developer SuperGaming featured Chaurasia as a playable character in their game Battle Stars, released on the Google Play Store and Apple's App Store.
By 2024, Chaurasia's main channel had surpassed 44 million subscribers, solidifying his position as a leading gaming content creator in India.[9]
Music
Ujjwal Chaurasia ventured into music to connect with his audience. On 20 January 2021, he released his first music video, Game On, celebrating his journey to 10 million subscribers. His second music video, LIFE, was released on 25 September 2023 as a tribute to his supporters for their continued encouragement.[10]
