Alakh Pandey
Alakh Pandey (born 2 October 1991) is an Indian educator and entrepreneur. He is the founder of Physics Wallah, an education technology company.[1][2]

Early life and education
Pandey was born on 2 October 1991 in Prayagraj (Allahabad), Uttar Pradesh, India.[1] He studied at Bishop Johnson School & College in Allahabad and enrolled in B.Tech Mechanical Engineering at Harcourt Butler Technical University, Kanpur, dropping out in his third year to pursue teaching.[1]
Career
In 2016, Pandey launched the Physics Wallah YouTube channel to teach physics for JEE and NEET aspirants, growing it to over 13 million subscribers by 2024 with affordable courses.[1][3] In 2020, he co-founded the Physics Wallah company with Prateek Maheshwari; it became India's first edtech unicorn in 2022, valued over $1.1 billion.[1][3] He debuted on the Hurun India Rich List in 2025 with an estimated net worth of Rs 14,520 crore.[1][4]
