Harshvardhan Beniwal (Hindi: हर्षवर्धन बेनीवाल);(born February 13, 1996) is an Indian YouTuber, actor, and comedian known for his comedy sketches and vines on social media platforms. He gained prominence through his YouTube channel, which has amassed over 16 million subscribers as of 2025, making it one of the most subscribed channels in India. Harsh has also ventured into acting, appearing in Bollywood films and web series.[1][2][3]

Early Life

Harsh Beniwal was born on February 13, 1996, in Pitampura, Delhi, India, to a Sikh family. His mother, Sunita Beniwal, is a housewife and his sister, Pria Beniwal, is a fashion and beauty influencer married to singer Milind Gaba. Beniwal developed an interest in acting during childhood, participating in school plays and portraying Lakshman in local Ramleela performances. He completed his schooling at Maharaja Agrasen Model School, Delhi, and enrolled in a Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) program at Shri Aurobindo College, New Delhi. He later transferred to Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies but dropped out in his second year to pursue a career in content creation.[4]

YouTube and Social Media

Harsh Beniwal began his career in 2013 by posting short comedy skits on Instagram and Dubsmash, which gained significant traction. On May 6, 2015, he launched his self-titled YouTube channel, initially uploading short vines and later full-length comedy sketches. His first video, "Comedy Hunt – Indian Mom During Result," marked the beginning of his rise to fame. His content, known for its relatable humor and social commentary, has garnered billions of views. Popular videos include "A Day With Cringe TikToker" (2020), which received over 40 million views by 2022. Beniwal also co-created the YouTube channel Hasley India, which has millions of subscribers. He has received Silver and Golden YouTube Play Buttons for surpassing 1 million and 5 million subscribers, respectively, and a Diamond Play Button for crossing 10 million subscribers.[5]

In addition to YouTube, Harsh Beniwal is active on Instagram, TikTok (before its ban in India), and X, where he shares comedic content and lifestyle updates. As of 2023, his Instagram account had over 3.9 million followers, and his X account had nearly 1 million followers. Harsh Beniwal made his Bollywood debut in 2019 with Student of the Year 2, directed by Punit Malhotra, playing the role of Puggi, a friend of the lead character portrayed by Tiger Shroff. For the role, he gained approximately 20 kg and later lost it within three months post-filming. In 2020, he starred as Soggy in the web series Who's Your Daddy? on ALTBalaji and ZEE5, directed by Chirag Arora. He also appeared in the 2022 web series Campus Diaries on MX Player and judged the online gaming reality show Playground on Amazon MiniTV in 2022. In 2023, Beniwal wrote, directed, and acted in the YouTube film Checkmate. His most recent project, the web series HeartBeat, was released on Amazon MiniTV in 2024, earning praise for his comedic timing.[7][8]

Harsh Beniwal has collaborated with prominent YouTubers such as Bhuvan Bam, Ashish Chanchlani, and CarryMinati, and appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show to promote Student of the Year 2. His comedy series on YouTube include Daaru With Dad (2020), Who Killed Jessica? (2021), and Barfi (2022).[9]

Personal Life

Harsh Beniwal is known to keep his personal life private. He was previously in a relationship with YouTuber and actress Pratishtha Sharma, which ended in 2021; they remain friends. He is an avid animal lover, owning pet dogs named Barfi (deceased) and Rio. Beniwal is a fitness enthusiast, regularly working out at the gym, and enjoys playing the guitar. He is a follower of Sikhism and frequently visits religious sites.[10]
