Early life and education

Sourav Joshi was born on 24 May 2000 in Haldwani, Uttarakhand, India, to Harish Joshi and Hema Joshi. He was raised in a middle-class household, and during his childhood, his father relocated to Hisar, Haryana, for work. Joshi completed his schooling at a government high school in Hisar and went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts at the Punjab Group of Colleges. Following his graduation, he moved to Delhi to prepare for architectural entrance exams, though he did not qualify.

Career

Saurav Joshi began his YouTube career in 2015 with the channel Sourav Joshi Arts, where he started posting sketching tutorials in 2017. The channel gradually gained traction and received the YouTube Silver Play Button in 2018 for crossing 100,000 subscribers.

In 2019, he launched a second channel, Sourav Joshi Vlogs, initially posting art-related videos. However, he soon shifted his focus to daily vlogging. His content gained widespread attention during the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown, when he took on a challenge to upload one vlog each day for an entire year. These vlogs, often set in his hometown of Bageshwar, Uttarakhand, showcased his daily routine, family life, and regional culture, resonating strongly with a broad Indian audience.

Sourav Joshi resides in Bageshwar, Uttarakhand, with his family. He is the eldest among three brothers. His younger brothers, Piyush Joshi, Sahil Joshi, and Kunali Joshi, frequently appear in his vlogs and are well-known among his fan base. Piyush, in particular, has developed a significant following and runs his own YouTube channel, Piyush Joshi Gaming.
