Shubhankar Mishra (born April 10, 1993) is an Indian television news anchor, journalist, and social media influencer. He has worked with several major news networks including India News, Zee Media, TV9 Bharatvarsh, and Aaj Tak. Mishra is also active on digital platforms and runs three YouTube channels: Shubhankar Mishra, NewsBook, and CricketBook. Across social media, he has gained over 15 million followers.[1][2]
Early life and education
Shubhankar Mishra was born on April 10, 1993, in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh, to Ranveer and Janhvi Mishra. He spent his childhood in Lucknow and New Delhi. He completed his schooling at St. Xavier's School. Although his interest lay in media, he initially pursued a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology (GCET), Greater Noida, as per his father's wishes. Later, he studied journalism and mass communication at Delhi University.
Career
Mishra began his career in journalism in 2015 as a news anchor with India News. During his time there, he reported for regional channels like India News Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, and Rajasthan.
In November 2017, he joined Zee Media, followed by a move to TV9 Bharatvarsh in December 2018 as a news anchor.
In February 2022, Mishra joined Aaj Tak, part of the India Today Group. Known for his engaging presentation and detailed reporting, he gained popularity for his coverage of major events. One of his notable assignments included reporting from Tiger Hill during a feature on the Kargil War. He left Aaj Tak in July 2023.[3][4]
Social media presence
In addition to his television career, Mishra has built a strong presence online. He runs three YouTube channels:
